BASE Community of Practice
Members of the BASE Community of Practice include Black researchers, professionals, students, and others dedicated to helping shape the future of artificial intelligence. More than 1,200 members use the network to learn, collaborate, develop new skills, and find pathways into AI research and related work.
The goal of the community is to create pathways for Black researchers, professionals, and students who remain underrepresented in AI research, while also welcoming others who support BASE's mission and want to contribute to the community. Members come from across the United States, Africa, and many other parts of the world.
LEARN, CONNECT, & BUILD
Members can take part in training programs, paper discussions, workshops, events, and other opportunities throughout the year. Some programs are designed to build technical or governance skills, while others create space for members to engage with research, meet others in the field, and explore pathways into AI-related work.
